Vivian Guggenheim (b. 1961) is an Argentine visual artist based in Madrid since 2017. Trained in Fine Arts under Miguel Dávila, she has exhibited internationally since 1980, including at ARCO, Art Toronto, Art Chicago, and arteBA. Her work is held in private collections across the Americas and Europe. She has also taught and developed visual arts programs internationally. In September 2026, she presents Into Your Waters at LALAContemporary Gallery in Toronto.
We are proud to present Vivian Guggenheim’s first solo exhibition in Toronto, following her two-month artist residency at Pouch Cove, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada.
Into Your Waters | En Tus Aguas Me Sumerjo brings together new works created during her 2026 residency. Through drawing, painting, and landscape-based works, Guggenheim explores memory, time, transformation, and the enduring presence of water.
Inspired by Newfoundland’s rugged landscape, stone, sea, and imagination become catalysts for experimentation and discovery. The exhibition reflects the transformative power of place and the intimate process of artistic exploration..
