SERIES: BLURRING THE BOUNDARIES

Carolina is a photographer who lives and works in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She enjoys working in this medium because she loves capturing what surprises her eyes. For her, the art of noticing is meditative. Usually color and light are involved and she brings photos to life by giving them movement.       The primary subjects of Quesada´s work are movement, light, abstraction and soft, blurry lines. These ingredients are all important, because she looks for the hidden beauty in people, nature, shadows or reflections, changing the perception of reality, by blurring the sense of scale. She believes the camera is both a tool that affirms the experience of witnessing and an artistic tool for visual communication. Her art-making process requires patience and much experimentation- which is needed to achieve the desired effect of movement. She has developed her unique way of looking at the world, offering images as invitations to the viewer´s own imagination.    ¨   "The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes." -Marcel Proust       Edited by Nicole Washburn.
